What makes Ear Shed special?
- Enhance real-world applicable note recognition: Instead of offering exercises for recognizing intervals, scales, or chords without any additional context, Ear Shed approaches all ear-training exercises by directly tying note recognition to a reference pitch or key center. For example, instead of simply recognizing an interval of a Perfect Fifth, you will learn to hear it as the second and fifth degree of the scale; or better yet, a “D” and an “A” in the key of “C”!

Go from hearing the difference between two notes, to naming any seven chromatic tones – in order!
- Customize the exercises to your own needs: Ear Shed gives you the ability to create your own exercises, so you can work on EXACTLY what you need. Having trouble hearing the difference between two chords? Create an exercise that isolates only those two. Having trouble hearing your key center or starting notes when your band is playing complicated jazz voicings? Set up your exercises with any of our preset jazz turnarounds, or create your own! Think you have the best ears around, and nothing challenges you anymore? Create an exercise impossible for mere mortals.
- Track your progress: Ear Shed offers modes to score you on both your accuracy, and how quickly you are able to guess the right notes. Test yourself on the same exercise every day for a week, month, or even a year, and see how your scores improve!
